Make this smoky, buttery Texas Roadhouse-Style Salmon at home. This baked recipe delivers tender, flaky fillets with crisp edges in just 25 minutes, perfect for a quick weeknight meal or impressing guests.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • For the Glaze:
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets dry using paper towels. This helps achieve a better texture.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the 1 tablespoon of olive oil with the initial seasonings: 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  4. Rub the oil and seasoning mixture evenly over all sides of the salmon fillets. Place the seasoned fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. In another small bowl, whisk together the glaze ingredients: melted butter, honey, Worcestershire sauce, 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika, and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder.
  6. Brush about half of the glaze mixture evenly over the tops of the salmon fillets.
  7. Bake the salmon for 12 to 15 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillets, until the salmon is mostly cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove the salmon from the oven. Brush the remaining glaze over the fillets.
  9. Return the salmon to the oven and bake for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, or until the glaze is slightly caramelized and the salmon is fully cooked.
  10. Serve immediately with your choice of side dishes.

Notes

  • For crispier edges, you can briefly place the salmon under the broiler for the last minute, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • If you prefer a stronger garlic flavor, add 1/2 teaspoon of minced fresh garlic to the glaze mixture.
  • This recipe works well with either fresh or thawed frozen salmon fillets.
