Make this rich, creamy sausage cheese dip in your slow cooker. It is a simple, crowd-pleasing appetizer perfect for parties or game days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound bulk pork sausage
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 (10 ounce) can Ro-Tel diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease completely.
  2. Transfer the cooked sausage to a small slow cooker.
  3. Add the cubed cream cheese, condensed soup, Ro-Tel tomatoes (with liquid), milk, chili powder, and garlic powder to the slow cooker.
  4. Stir the ingredients together until they are combined.
  5. Cook on LOW for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes, until the cheese is fully melted and the dip is smooth and hot.
  6. Serve immediately with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • For a thicker dip, reduce the amount of milk slightly.
  • You can substitute Velveeta cheese for the cream cheese and condensed soup for a faster melt, though the texture will change.
  • If you need to keep the dip warm longer for a party, set the slow cooker to the ‘Keep Warm’ setting after the initial cooking time.
