Make this creamy, no-bake peanut butter dessert dip that tastes just like Buckeye candies. It is simple to prepare and perfect for parties or satisfying a sweet craving.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted (for topping)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and softened butter together until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  2. Add the peanut butter and vanilla extract to the bowl. Beat until fully combined.
  3. Gradually add the sifted powdered sugar, mixing on low speed until incorporated, then increase speed to medium and beat until the dip is light and fluffy.
  4. Transfer the peanut butter dip to a serving bowl.
  5. Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  6. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter mixture. You can swirl it in slightly or leave it as a top layer.
  7. Chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow it to firm up slightly.
  8. Serve cold with graham crackers, apple slices, or pretzels.

Notes

  • For a true Buckeye look, drizzle the melted chocolate over the top and then use a knife to create swirls.
  • If you want a richer chocolate flavor, use milk chocolate instead of semi-sweet chips.
  • This dip tastes best when served chilled.
