Make this creamy, briny dip that captures the flavor of a dirty martini. It requires no cooking and comes together fast, making it perfect for parties and gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces blue cheese, crumbled
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup finely chopped green olives (pitted)
  • 1/2 cup olive brine (from the olive jar)
  • 2 ounces gin (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Extra chopped olives and olive oil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese, blue cheese, sour cream, chopped olives, olive brine, gin (if using), and garlic powder into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Use an electric mixer or a sturdy spoon to beat the ingredients together until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed.
  3. Season the dip with salt and pepper to your preference. Mix briefly to combine.
  4. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Cover the bowl and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Before serving, garnish the top with a drizzle of olive oil and extra chopped olives.
  6. Serve cold with crackers, pretzels, or fresh vegetables.

Notes

  • For an alcohol-free version, omit the gin and add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar for a slight tang.
  • You can make this dip up to 2 days ahead of time. Keep it covered in the refrigerator.
  • If you prefer a less intense blue cheese flavor, reduce the amount of blue cheese to 6 ounces.
