Make tender, juicy steak bites effortlessly in your slow cooker. This simple crockpot steak recipe uses a savory garlic butter sauce, perfect for a hands-off weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed sirloin steak into the basin of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the steak evenly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss gently to coat the meat.
  3. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the steak.
  4. Arrange the pieces of butter evenly over the top of the steak cubes.
  5. Add the minced garlic directly over the butter.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours, or on HIGH for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the steak is tender.
  7. Once cooked, stir everything together gently to create a light sauce coating the steak bites.
  8. Serve the crockpot steak bites immediately over mashed potatoes or rice. Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can sear the steak cubes briefly in a hot skillet before adding them to the slow cooker.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove the steak during the last 30 minutes of cooking and mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water, then stir into the liquid in the slow cooker.
  • This recipe works well with other cuts like sirloin or chuck steak for a heartier, pot roast style result.
