Make this bright red holiday margarita for a beautiful, easy-to-shake cocktail or a large batch pitcher for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Tequila Blanco
  • 1 oz Orange Liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 2 oz Cranberry Juice (100% juice preferred)
  • 1 oz Pomegranate Juice
  • Optional: Coarse Salt or Sugar for rim
  • Garnish: Fresh cranberries, pomegranate arils, rosemary sprigs

Instructions

  1. If using a rim, run a lime wedge around the edge of your serving glass. Dip the rim into a shallow plate of salt or sugar.
  2. Combine tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, cranberry juice, and pomegranate juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  3. Shake well until the shaker is very cold, about 15 seconds.
  4. Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with fresh ice.
  5. Garnish with fresh cranberries, pomegranate arils, and a sprig of rosemary for a festive look.
  6. For a pitcher, multiply all ingredients by the number of servings needed. Mix all liquids in a pitcher and chill. Add ice to individual glasses before serving.

Notes

  • For a mocktail version, substitute the tequila and orange liqueur with equal parts sparkling water or non-alcoholic spirit alternative.
  • To make this recipe ahead, mix all liquid ingredients (excluding ice) up to 24 hours in advance. Keep chilled.
  • Use good quality 100% juice for the best flavor in this cranberry pomegranate margarita.
